We went to Alturas Lake with Jeff, Veronica, Jacob, Andrew, Nathan & their two dogs Beebee and Rosco. It was beautiful up there. We had planned to go to Bumgartner up near Fairfield, but there was a fire. We made it all the way over the summit and were trying to find a campground when the Suburban started acting funny. 
So we camped overnight and then the boys ran up to the service station with the Suburban. The clerk told Ken to drive in the woods about 3 miles and you would run in to two ZZ Top looking guys and they are wonderful mechanics. So Ken decided that would not be a great idea and we headed home that day. But it was a beautiful area and we all had a blast.
We made it home in like 5 hours instead of 2.5 hours. So it was an eventful but worthwhile experience to play in the woods. Amber (our dog) actually swam without Ken throwing her in!!!
Our tent was in the background and these pictures were first thing in the morning. Mia was waiting for her hot cocoa. She had a blast outside. That is Andrew being the chopping man behind Mia.
